If believing in Jesus Christ as Saviour comes down to ‘faith,’ why did the disciples not believe until they had ‘seen’ evidence of Christ’s resurrection, and in Thomas case, touched the wounds of Jesus? Why did their discipleship only become one of faith after receiving the Holy Spirit? When there have been many individuals who had and have not seen, and yet had faith in Christ before receiving the Holy Spirit?
What say yea?
Because the disciples were just like us except that the Holy Spirit wasn’t fully loosed upon the earth at the time. Whether you have the Holy Spirit or not, it is the spirit that opens the heart to receive Christ. After receiving Christ, then the Holy Spirit enters.

Jesus tells his followers that they can’t enter into the kingdom of God unless they believe as little children, which to me means without questioning. (Matthew 18:3 & 19:13-15, Mark 10:13-16 and Luke 18:15-17)
And in John 20:29, Jesus blesses those who believe without evidence.
So the religious leader sows the seeds of fear about his followers questioning anything they’re told they must believe, and the hope of being saved if they believe without needing evidence.
Blind faith is required because the beliefs would not of course stand up to critical enquiry; anyone who does so would be considered lost, and possibly a traitor warranting ex-communication.

you see that they all responded in Faith in Christ the desciples didnt know that Christ would die and resurrect even thought Christ has been telling them but in the end they put there faith in Him. Christ is the only way of salvation to be reconcile to God.but do you know the Lord Jesus Christ?
He created you and i to worship Him, and sin destroyed our relationship and understand of our Creator and because of Sin we were separated from Jesus Christ (Jesus Is God in Flesh) our own Creator came to earth to redeem us and on the Cross He took our punishment on the Cross for us and died for our sins in our place and took the wrath of God on the Cross for us so that we dont have to, but we deserve it, i do but Christ saved me from it. and He then rose again the third day defeating death and giving a new life to those who put there faith in Him and they are born again believers. Surrender your life to your Creator, He loves you so much and Came to die for your sins in your place and to give you His Righteousness because we have none and there is nothing we can do to get to heaven, our good person, works, faith plus works, nothing will get us in Heaven accept Christ Alone. Please surrender your life down to the one who died for you and put your faith only in Christ alone cause only He can save you, Cry out to Him today and today be the day of your salvation.
after that read your bible daily and obey it and find a good christian church

The disciples believed many things without seeing, even Thomas. Their faith was of the same kind as modern Christians, and it was rewarded just as modern Christians’ faith is.

This is not true, you should study a little more about that before asking a question that makes you look silly.
Mark 8:29 KJV
And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am ? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
Get your facts straight! Even the doubting Thomas deal came before the Pentecost

First, we aren’t even sure what the writers of the four gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, even wrote. These were written by other persons long after these 4 were dead… sometime after 60CE.
Jesus himself was an illiterate itinerate apocolyptic preacher..He read some Greek, as most Jewish men could, but likely not write it. He was poor, as were most young Jewish men. He could read Hebrew, at least the Torah, as could most Jewish men. But that was about the extent of his literacy.
Secondly, the writers never saw any of this. It was all oral tradition until better educated Christians wrote down the tradition, and they did so originally in Greek. We don’ t even have these original documents… only copies of copies of copies. Mark’s was first, Luke and Matthew came second, and copied from Mark, then John, last, and the message from John, was far different…… where the first three are all about "getting right with God, by keeping the Law… The Kingdom of God will be here during your lifetime. Be part of it, or be gone."
Then, when that didn’t happen, John’s message from Jesus changed. (Read the Gospels in parallel, hon, not one right after the other.
You will see all the differences.
There is not one word in the Bible written by Jesus, and not one account of, say, ":When Jesus and I were walking in the town of……" Not one. Nothing like, "I heard Jesus say….." Nope to that one too.
Not one historian of the era even mentions his name…Josephus does not…. the line in a later (10th) century copy is regarded as a forgery by every New Testament scholar I have ever read……, since that line does not appear in earlier copies. (A no brainer conclusion)
Suetonius, wasn’t even alive during the time Jesus lived.
(It’s like you telling us exactly what happened the day Kennedy was shot if you are under 35, and you don’t have any newspapers, computer, books, and can’t read.)
No one else living wrote about him… we have such things as "When Jesus said…" or ‘Jesus said." But nothing like "When I heard Jesus say….." NOthing. Nada. Zip. He was rather unknown in his own time.
Is there a sky god? No one knows.
Did Jesus really live? Likely but not a certainty.
Do the gospels agree? Not at all.
Why isn’t the Gospel of Thomas in canon? How about the Gospel of Mary, or Judas? What about the Acts of Paul and Thecla? Why aren’t those in scripture now? They were once? Why not know?
Take a course in History of Christianity, and Bible History. Second best, call up your local university, or go on line and look under Religious Studies. See if the Prof will send you his reading list.
Then, learn, sweetie. This stuff is just hugely interesting.

because the new covenant could not go into effect till the one who made was proven dead, just like your will if you have one when will it go into effect when you die right same with Jesus. a old covenant, a old testament a old law a new testament a new will a new covenant these are all the same in God eyes. God had the first will ever we as christians just followed God’s example on many things.
