The Christian faith says all humans are equal, and yet Jesus Christ is considered superior, for he is Gods son?
The Christian Faith says all humans are equal, and yet Jesus Christ is considered superior, for he is Gods son?
There is only one God and His Name is Jesus. The doctrine of the trinity was created at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD upon the order of Emperor Constantine. Prior to that all Christians were baptized in Jesus Name. No where in the Bible is the term trinity ever used.
Matthew 28:19 states, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the FATHER, and of the SON, and the HOLY GHOST." Here is further proof of mankind being made in HIS LIKENESS. The very thing that separates each of us from one another is our name, (we may all look differently from each other, but the identifying factor is the name), just as THE NAME separates us from all others. You can no more separate the Father from the Son, or Holy Ghost, that you can separate the body, soul, or spirit. Just as I am a mother, daughter and a wife so it is with the Godhead. Jesus Christ is the Father in creation, the Son in Redemption and the Holy Spirit in Regeneration, one God who manifests Himself in three different ways or titles of office.
The Shema – "Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is one LORD." This statement marks the declaration that God is One. Interestingly, the word echad in Hebrew can imply a unity in diversity (the word for one and only one, i.e., unique.
Is 9:6 "For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
John 1:1-5,14 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him: and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light* shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (14:)And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us……..
1 Tim 3:16, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
Ephesians 4:5 tells us, "One Lord, one faith, one baptism" therefore we must sincerely seek to find what is God’s only plan of salvation.
Colossians 3:17, "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
John 20:27-28, 27 Then he (Jesus) said to Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be faithless, but believing."
28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord, and my God!"
As man, in His humanity) he suffered, bled and died on the cross. As God He came forth the third day.

Jesus Christ is not a mere human according to Christianity. That should answer your "question".

The Christian faith doesn’t say that, Jesus did.
No, despite what others say, Jesus was 100% human. What made Him divine was His will … He was no more than you or me to start with, just a baby.

Wrong on both counts.
Jesus is True God and True Man. He is the Incarnate Word. The divine is superior to the merely human. If you doubt this, I think there can be no discussion.
And the ‘word’ equality’ always implies some thing about which equality is beinig asserted. Obviously it does not mean that there are no differences else it lowers everybody not raises.
All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we … as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince. Plato
–But Plato knows that a Prince is not a peasant.

He is part of the Godhead. God’s begotten son. He remembered the pre existence and volunteered to come to earth and teach us what was expected of us and how to return to our Father in Heaven. And give God the glory.

Jesus Christ was God’s son, meaning he is more than just human. He’s holy and divine. All humans are created equal, and we all are, but Jesus, not being fully human, is considered superior.

Jesus is God with us. God entered humanity to save us from our sins.
From Colossians 1 NIV:
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
14 in whom we have redemption,[e] the forgiveness of sins.
The Supremacy of Christ
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
From Colossians 2 NIV
9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,
10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
Christ identified Himself as God:
John 10 NIV

30 I and the Father are one."
31 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him,
32 but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?"
33 "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God."
John 8 NIV
57 "You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"
58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"
59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
He performed the miracles that distinguished Him from others: healing the sick, healing the crippled, casting out demons from people, commanding the sea & the weather to obey Him, even raising the dead.
He was God incarnate. This one of the creeds of the Christian faith.
The Son of Man was a reference to God entering humanity–becoming human. The Son of God was a reference to that Person being fully God, Who for a time was "made a little lower than the angels…" although the reality is that He existed before the world was begun.
See John 1 NIV

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus didn’t enter into humanity in the natural way as with a mother & father uniting sexually to produce offspring, but rather He came into humanity through the virgin birth, a miracle in the power of the Holy Spirit. He was conceived through divine intervention.
Luke 1 NIV
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Lk%201:26-38&version=NIV
31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34 "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[a] the Son of God.

Jesus Christ was not sinful like us all, he wasnt conceived through sex, he was born immaculately.
That makes him not on the level of you and me, because we were all born with sin
Plus, he is the Son of God. How can he be equal with us when he is God.

Because Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost, and not of man, He is called the Son of God. Although we too are called sons of God (I John 3:2), our sonship is different than Jesus’. Whereas we are adopted as God’s sons (Romans 8:14-17), Jesus was born as God’s Son (Luke 1:35). His very being came into existence by the Holy Ghost. Jesus would have never existed without the contributions made by His Father. Since God physically fathered Jesus through the miraculous conception He is God’s Son in a physical sense. We are only God’s sons in a spiritual sense. Our existence is not dependent on Him. Our being results from the physical union of two human parents. It is only after this that we can become sons of God through the adoption by His Spirit.

Jesus is God and the Bible contains the truth.
It would be difficult to explain everything in a short answer.
I would suggest you visit the below website. You will get all the answers, for the below questions and many more.
1) Did Jesus really exist?
2) Is Jesus God?
3)Why should I believe that the Bible is accurate, or the word of God?
4) What is the Holy Trinity?
5)What is so special about Jesus? Why cant I just view him as an ordinary man or a teacher or a prophet? Why should I see him as God?

Superior?
Jesus Christ was a servant! He served the less fortunate by doing miracles and cared about us and died for us.
