In my experience of being an atheist, it is more the other way around. I am constantly harassed and/or criticized by believers about the fact that I don’t believe in god. I couldn’t care less what you believe in, honestly. It’s your choice…
But, I live in Kansas, where it is literally the bible belt of the entire nation, and believe me… Christians around here are much more aggressive and detrimental on other peoples’ faiths than atheists are.
I am not saying religious people are bad… mostly just judgmental due to their beliefs that they’re right and everyone else is wrong.

An atheist is just a person who does not believe in the existence of god/s. Some atheists are also anti-theistic. Anti-theists believe religion has been, and is the cause of much suffering and evil, and actively work against it. It’s not personal. They are thinking of the good of humanity. They tear your religious views down, but they don’t mean to tear you down. It only tears you down because those beliefs happen to be emotionally fused to you, while they are only thinking intellectually.
I’m an atheist, but I haven’t figured out if I’m anti-theist. I don’t care if people worship fish, or zeus, or whatever, as long as they don’t hurt anyone. So all of the non believers, In order to make human DNA, the creator needs to have right handed and left handed protiens. Man has created both in the laboratory. So can scientists make huiman DNA? Well it seems they have discovered that you need a right handed protien to make a left handed protien but then you need a left handed protien to make a right handed protien, which means you need to make both at the same time to make human DNA but you can’t make one without the other. Funny, I think the Chicken or the Egg explanation is really not all that simple. So now that we know there is a Creator, we now have to understand that in order for Us to create a Universe, We would need to take billions of protons from millions of atoms,, compress them so hard that nothing could ever pass through them, and make sure that all these atoms are from every type of a thing in the Universe (which atoms make up), then stand back, (this will be a problem because there would be no room to stand anywhere), and wait for the big bang that creates the Universe. You know it really takes more faith to believe in that, than to believe in one Creator. So Atheists have no other explanation, than to believe in something more unbelievable that believing in something that really is more plausible than what they believe. Sometimes you need to understand that you’re lost before you can be found. I apologize for but this answer, but it is the simpilest answer I can give in hopes that I am not insulting Athieists. 1) Truth is important.
2) Throughout human history religion has inspired, or provided bogus justification for, barbarous, evil and inhuman acts.
